Minor and cosmetic, or the visible part of something deeper. We take a look and explain your options.
Cracked and broken teeth are among the concerns we routinely evaluate.
Our first goal is always to save your natural tooth. When an extraction is the right path, we use thorough local anesthesia and a careful, patient technique.
Severe, throbbing pain is often a sign of an infection or abscess that needs attention. Do not wait for it to become unbearable.
Dental abscesses and infections are routinely evaluated here.
A filling or crown that has come out is worth a call, even if it is not painful yet.
Not sure if it counts? Describe what happened and we will tell you what to do next.
Our priority is to assess the situation and figure out a solution. Whatever the case, Dr. Pooler will diagnose the problem and walk you through exactly what needs to happen next.
We may be able to see you the same day, depending on the time of your call and the care you need. Call the office to confirm current availability.

Rinse gently with warm water and avoid chewing on the sore side. A cold compress held against the outside of your cheek can ease soreness and swelling. If you take an over-the-counter pain reliever, follow the label directions. Do not place aspirin directly on the gum. If a crown came off or a tooth chipped, keep the crown or any pieces in a clean container and bring them with you.
This is general information, not a diagnosis, so call us at (904) 268-0904 and we will tell you what to do for your situation. If you have facial swelling, trouble breathing, or bleeding that will not stop, call 911.
Please call first at (904) 268-0904. Calling lets us ask about your symptoms, check the schedule, and tell you what to expect. Same-day openings depend on the schedule that day and cannot be guaranteed, so call as early in the day as you can. Outside office hours, leave a detailed message or send the request form on this page and we will respond as soon as possible.

We use local anesthesia to thoroughly numb the area. You will likely feel some pressure or pushing, and our gentle technique is designed to keep any discomfort to an absolute minimum. After the procedure you will get detailed, easy-to-follow aftercare instructions, and we are a phone call away during your recovery.
We are an out-of-network practice. If you have a PPO plan, you typically have out-of-network benefits, and we are more than happy to help you use them. Our team will call your insurance provider, deal with the paperwork, and file claims on your behalf. We also offer financing through CareCredit.
It may not hurt right away, but an exposed or cracked tooth can break further or become sensitive. It is best to call and describe what happened so we can tell you how soon to be seen. Keep the crown or any pieces in a clean container, and try not to chew on that side until you are seen.
Not always. Our first goal is to save your natural tooth. Dr. Pooler examines the tooth, takes X-rays if needed, and explains your options before anything is done. When an extraction is the right path, we explain what to expect.
